According to Russian media RBC, from 1 September, Russia's Integrity Label (Честныйзнак) system will incorporate a series of new categories of goods, with mandatory certification for specific types of confectionery, bakery products, instant beverages (e.g., coffee, tea, and chicory), sports nutritional products, children's toys, construction materials (e.g., cement. plaster, sealants, etc.), and some personal hygiene products (razors and replacement razor blades), gypsum, putty, sealants, etc.) and some personal hygiene products (razors and replacement blades).

The Russian ‘Integrity Label’ is a digital anti-counterfeiting mark, which is mainly used to combat counterfeit and substandard goods, enhance the transparency of goods, realise the traceability of the whole process, and is also an ‘identity card’ for the circulation of goods in the territory of Russia. The mark is an encrypted QR code, which contains many key information about the goods and cannot be imitated or reused due to encryption. To date, 27 categories of goods have been included in the certification system, including specific types of clothing, footwear, perfumes and cosmetics, tobacco products, medicines, cameras, car tyres and so on.

Russian buyers, who are legally responsible for the entry of goods into the Russian market, are required to register with the system and submit information about their goods (e.g., name of the goods, manufacturer, composition, model number, etc.) as well as additional data (e.g., nutritional content table for food products, registration certificate for medical devices, etc.). Subsequently, the system assigns a unique QR code to each item.
