According to media reports, at the October 2024 India International Renewable Energy Exhibition (REI India), Indian solar module manufacturing giant Waaree Energies launched a new N-type heterojunction (HJT) bifacial glass PV module designed for large-scale solar projects.
Key Specifications:
· Power output: 730W
· Conversion efficiency: 23.5%
· Bifaciality rate: >85%
· Annual degradation rate: 0.3%
Waaree commits to a 12-year product warranty and a 30-year performance warranty for this module.
Technical Highlights:
The N-type HJT bifacial glass PV module represents a cutting-edge solar technology. Using N-type silicon as the base material, it delivers superior performance in photovoltaic conversion efficiency, temperature coefficient, and low-light response. The heterojunction structure—composed of two distinct semiconductor materials—reduces electron-hole recombination, enhancing overall efficiency.
Advantages of Bifacial Glass Packaging:
1. Durability: Weather resistance and corrosion protection ensure long-term protection of internal cells and circuits.
2. Mechanical Strength: Dual-glass design improves structural stability, enabling better resistance to external impacts and vibrations.
3. Bifacial Power Generation: High bifaciality allows the rear side to generate power from reflected light, boosting total energy output. This innovation positions Waaree Energies as a leader in advancing high-efficiency solar solutions for global markets.
